Together, the therapist and client will work together to forge a path out of the depression and into a more hopeful and positive outlook for the future.
Each week we will work hard to re-train the brain to focus less on the negatives and more on the positive aspects of life. We will use cognitive behavioural techniques including scaling and the miracle question to help set small attainable goals for the client to work towards each week.
We would always recommend that a client who is severely depressed or experiencing suicidal thoughts to consult the advice of their GP first, and to use SFH as a supplementary therapeutic tool.
